Cosplay at Everland

Do you know what cosplay is?

It is short for "costume play" and it entails dressing up in very fancy clothing, often animation related. Japanese animation, manga, and video games are the inspiration for most cosplay. It's a very social activity that friends can do together. Animation and comic book conventions around the world are common meeting places for cosplayers. And apparently, Everland is too!

Can you identify who these cosplayers are dressed as?

If you are any of these cosplayers, thanks again for letting me put your picture up! When I told some of these cosplayers about this blog (Korea & Animation), they corrected me that they were dressed as Japanese animation characters, not Korean characters. This makes me realize what a good job Japanese artists do at creating characters that we want to be just like. I think we in other parts of the world, including here in Korea, should work hard to create those kinds of characters, too. After all, look how much fun it is!

Ahm, 9th photo down is Ouran. It's most likely one of the Hitachin twins.

About the cosplays:

The 1st pic is from Gintama, Gintoki and Kagura;
The 2nd is from Naruto, Naruto and Hinata;
The 3rd.. well, Im pretty sure the one with the kimono is Takasugi from Gintama;
The 9th is probably one of the Hitachin twins from Ouran;
The 11th is Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist;
The cosplay in the 12th pic is from Bleach for sure.. I think it's Gin.
The 13th, ahm.. Im almost sure that the one on the left is a cosplay of Ken from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!;
The 14th, on the right.. again cosplay of Gintoki and Kagura, Gintama characters;

Ahm, actually.. some of the cosplayers from the pics actually might be cosplaying as Korean characters. There are really good Korean mangas (=manhwas).

But hey, you're really lucky! Im dying to go to Korea! Principally to go to Comic World in Busan and Seoul! And do cosplay too!
